Its sad when the person making your lunch knows your name, where you work, and your order before you can say anything. But, this is that place for me. I'm here probably 2 or 3 times a week. The salads are great - everything is very fresh, and the service is always fast. Since this location is near the Tech center it can get very busy at lunch time - but that line always moves fast. Yeah, it is a bit pricey for salads but the portions are GIANT and worth it. I say put this place on your regular lunch rotation, then write me an email and say thanks.

Soup and salad? or salad and sandwich? or panini and salad? The combinations seems endless, but all in all I stick with my regular order: Annie Oakley panini and Edgar Allan Poe salad. The food is good, and the portions are generous. My only complaint, the chopped apples have seemed to go downhill. I remember a time when they were fresh and crisp, now they seem to be soggy and brown. I think it's safe to say they don't prep these fresh each day, and I can't help but wonder what other foods are treated the same there.

Great salads and friendly service. Healthy, tasty food at a reasonable price.

I am a huge salad person, and just the thought of Mad Greens' Ty Cobb with baby spinach instead of romaine makes me drool. It doesn't help that this is only 5 minutes from my office. I've been trying to avoid eating lunch out to save money, but I can't resist Mad Greens. All of the ingredients taste fresh, from hard boiled eggs to greens to hickory smoked bacon, and the staff is always happy to make reasonable substitutions. The warm pitas are a delicious and healthy additional to a salad, and the portions are HUGE. Get a small if you're not planning on taking at least half home. In fact, if it weren't so delicious, I'd always have leftovers-- but I find myself eating long after I'm actually full, because it just tastes great! As someone who can easily skip a meal just because I forgot it was time to eat, cleaning my plate at a place that serves big portions is a rarity for me.

I love Salad and so do my co-workers so having the restaurant deliver tasty salads for us is pretty darn rad. I'm all for a Cobb Salad (replacing the dressing with Balsamic Vinegrette or having an Edgar Allan Poe. Quite yummy! Some of the kiddos like the panini and salad combo...but it's def a winner when we can all agree on lunch!

Tried for the frost time. I had the Ty Cobb with chicken and a pellegrino. Was very good. I am trying to find out if they use organic ingredients. I am trying to stay away from hormones, antibiotics and GMO stuff in my diet.

I'm glad there's a Mad Greens near the DTC. This location is quick and always has friendly staff. There's always something for everyone; if you haven't tried Mad Greens yet, give it a shot - you'll like it!

Good. Solid. I didn't love the sandwich I got. It was a roast beef something or other. Wish I had chosen a different sandwich. I got the cobb salad and asked them to go light on the dressing and it was still drenched. Even so, it lacked the flavor and punch that I was craving. But it was still good, and I enjoyed the experience. Great location. Oh, the sitting and walkthrough areas area little cramped. Overall though, it's a great little place.

Yesterday I paid a visit to the Mad Greens on Yosemite. It was 1:30 and the place was still doing steady business. These guys have a great niche, catchy names for their Salads and Pannini's. I had the General Custer and added the buffalo chicken. Fresh and tasty ingredients and they prepare it right in front of you. Good value and friendly employees. The only negatives to this experience were some dirty forks in the utencil bin, and the mens room needed some attention. Overall, I would highly recommend it and I will be back!!

Huge portions, fresh veggies, fast service, and reasonable prices. If you're craving a well-made fresh salad in the North DTC area, look no further.

This is a great concept. Think Chipotle, but with salad. I had the mad math combo and got the Don Quixote salad (baby greens, avocado, mango, roasted corn, and a creamy ginger dressing) with half of the cuban sandwich. It was all very tasty, including the mango peach smoothie-like drink I had from the fountain. While it's a bit pricey to me, they don't skimp on the food. Everything tasted very fresh. I wish I had the other half of that cuban sandwich right about now!!

Love Mad Greens. I'm very picky about salads and I always want my dressing tossed, not on the side! So this is the perfect solution for me. I do build your own. I would suggest regular size always unless you are super hungry. It's plenty big. Friendly service at this branch.

I love a good salad. I could tell when I first walked in to this place that's what I was going to get. The first time I visited Mad Greens I saw that they had a chipotle caesar salad on the menu.... 'nuff said, that's what I got and that's what I ALWAYS get now. It's so delicious! It's also well out of my way from work to stop in for lunch, so I only do so on rare occasions when I absolutely must have a chipotle caesar salad! As for the rest of the menu, well I apologize as I will not be much help there... lol. Enjoy!

Leave it to me to go to a health spot and get the most fattening salad on the menu... I had a BLT salad with Chicken Breast and Horseradish Ranch. Oh well, it was good. My boyfriend wasn't all to excited about his salad, he had the Da Vinci with Tuna and Vinaigrette. Next time he'll try something else perhaps a Panini. This place is kept clean and was fairly empty when I was there. I love the options for drinks. Sure it was a little expensive for 'just a salad' but if you think about it you pay just as much elsewhere and sometimes even more for a lot lower quality bowl. Unlike a trip to any other fast food/sit down place in the area, I didn't feel like I needed to be rolled out of there because of overblown portions. My boyfriend says all the guys at work rave about this place, so he thought we should try it. After being in there for 20 minutes munching on some leafy greens I realized why it was so popular amongst the men folk; what guy wouldn't like to sit around in a place with a bunch of blonde Barbie doll 18 year olds counting calories? In the end, I know I'll be back if for no other reason then tasty croutons and dressing!

Always delighted to help you rush through lunch in a healthy fashion. Try the Ty Cobb with honey mustard dressing. Most allergies accommodated. Including gluten free. Caution they do not yet have gluten free paninis.

Had a good salad that I've come to love and expect from this awesome chain of stores. I went at around 12:30 and it seemed like they were cleaning up because they were grabbing a lot of the ingredients from the refrigerator or from the back. It wasn't laid out as nicely as the other stores I've been and seemed hard to locate what I wanted. I like to try new things so I ended up just asking for what I know I'm use to. I loved the nice patio that was shaded with some trees and it was perfect to eat and chat. Friendly staff and quick service.

While the food is good (if they put the correct salad in your bag when you order to-go), the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. On my two recent visits the young employees acted as if the customers were inconveniencing them. For an overpriced salad I'd prefer service with a smile. I'll stick to the Mad Greens by DU.

Ever since I ate at Chop't in NYC I have been waiting for a good salad place in DTC. Great variety, great staff, great prices for a healthy and delicious lunch.

Mad greens while decent food constantly disappoints. They routinely can't get their call aheads right and do a really substandard job of keeping people posted of their hours. Not being able to get there hours listed correctly should be a basic start. Additionally it should be easy to provide an answering service that supplies some information as to whether they are closed with basic info as to there hours. This company could use some real help with operations. It comes down to a simple practice of caring about their customer, it has become apparent to me all Mad Greens cares about is profits.

  • Reed K.

Pretty solid for fast food salads, I approve.

horrible service! staff is unfriendly! Will never eat there again!!!

  • Dana S.

Overall the good is really good. The food is on the pricey side, but always fresh and tasty. My main reason for the lower review is the lack of customer service. Each time I have been in there have been instances where the customer service was subpar. They may be little things, but in my opinion it makes me (the customer) feel like it is an inconvenience for them to do their job. For example I ordered a wrap once to go. The clerk was having trouble with the sticker on the paper that holds the wrap together. Rather than taking the nansecond to get a new sticker, he just leaves it. This results in getting home to a wrap that had opened up and spilled all over the bag. Again, they are not huge items, but these type of little things happen most of the time that I go there (and during off hours when the place is empty), so it is definitely a consideration and prevents me from going there more frequently.

  • Trevor W.

Of all of the Mad Greens locations, I have only visited this once. Probably one of the furthest locations from me, but I was in that area and I like the place so we stopped by. Anyways, my wife and I like to go this restaurant chain to share a meal: typically buy a large salad and whole Panini sandwich, then split both. It's more economical that way, otherwise it could be pricy if you desire a large portion. They've got a really good variety of ingredients and they make it in front of you so you can personalize any 'dish'. All in all, I like the fresh ingredients and I am almost positive they are sourced from decent places as well...or that last part may be a pipe-dream. ;o)

  • Jason R.

I do like the salads and sandwiches, but it is getting to be a little frustrating to have to repeat my order 3-4 times because the employee starting the order is blazed out of his mind. I understand that lunch is probably their prime time and I usually come in at dinner time, but it would still be nice to have someone able to take your order once and be able to start making that order right the first time.

Things that I love about this DTC location: - Super fresh spinach and lettuce, as well as the fruit, cheese and other toppings. - They work to get you in and out as fast as they can - Lots of outside seating for when you can stay and hang out for lunch - Super friendly staff, every time I've come One thing I wish would change: - Price It'll run you about $10 for a salad after all is said and done, and while they are super good eats, it's just spinach and nuts and a little feta at the end of the day. So I love it when someone buys me lunch here, but when I pay I'm kind of grumpy. But I keep coming back, to this location or another, because it's always a good experience and the staff is always accommodating and friendly.

I like this salad place because you can sit outside when the weather permits. My large greek salad without any meat was tasty and filling. My son had a salad and seemed to enjoy it along with his Pita. I love salads and still have my favorite chopped salad place but would not hesitate to return for another filling and tasty salad here. Yes it is not chopped but I can live with that as long as the ingredients are fresh and yummy.

Delicious, fresh, and full of variety - I wish I could bring this high-end salad bar back with me to the Bay Area. The grilled steak and blue cheese atop any mixture of veggies is particularly tasty.

This is one of our frequent stops for a healthy lunch or dinner. The ingredients are always fresh and tasty! The staff is always friendly and fast! They've also catered for me several times and do a wonderful job. My customers are always happy to see me walk in with a box from Mad Greens.

I wish we had one of these downtown Cleveland. I think I would eat here every day. The cheesy beer potato soup was WOW! The salad I had was so fresh and tasty. Service was outstanding. They walked this first timer through the process very quickly. Very filling. I would love to go back.

  • Bernie A.

The calories on the menu are NOT CORRECT! Upon ordering a panini and then grabbing a paper menu to look it over while I waited I discovered this. In fact most of the panini's are at least 200 calories MORE than it says on the menu. For example, it says the Marilyn Monroe is 500, when it is really 834. I know for those of you who are dieting/ counting calories this could be a real deal breaker. I would've appreciated at least a sign pointing to the paper menu for correct calorie counts. The panini's are good, but I would agree the price is high, I'll probably never go back unless I have a coupon.

This place is good. Quick and easily adpatable. However, it is pretty expensive for just a salad. But I like it, so I will be back.

Oh wow. Mad Greens is a salad/soup/panini place that basically has an open kitchen. So you place your order and then you can just watch them make your stuff right there which I always think is super neat. They have a lot of selections, too. You can choose their salad or sandwich creations or make your own up. I've eaten at various locations and always enjoyed my food. Some examples of things I ordered are a roast beef panini that was made with cheese, horseradish and apples (the Joan of Arc) or a salad with walnuts, apples, blue cheese crumbles and a port wine vinaigrette. Also, the portions are GIANT! For instance I got a half sandwich and small salad combo and had to take half of each home. And I'm a good eater. This location does seem to have a smaller dining room than most I've been to, which is strange because I'm sure it gets packed with the Tech center business people. But, they do have a nice patio you can enjoy during our warmer months.

Great salads. Fresh ingredients. Fast friendly service. Seems expensive for a minimalist decor/style quick salad shop so I only go occasionally. Usually end up spending $12 on a salad with sliced steak on top and a fountain drink. But it is good. I just wish it was $4 less.

Well, today is the day to write all of my mediocre reviews. Mad Greens is the place to get a "Beginner's Salad". When I'm not in the mood to cook and I don't want to completely pig out on the other fare around town (burritos, burgers, and pizza), I go to Mad Greens to get a salad. In my head, I feel like what I'm doing is good and healthy. In reality, I'm consuming a ton of sugar. I guess I could get some of their more 'honest" salads without the dressing--- but the Crazy Ivan (without beets-- blech!) and the Don Quixote are just too good to pass up. The quality is *usually* consistent, but there have been two occasions that they gave me molded lettuce and even more occasions when the soda machine was out of soda or out of ice and the staff were indifferent on fixing it. They are also on the high-end of the pricing spectrum. Let's be honest--- they're the Subway of the salad world... and they are charging restaurant prices. A few good things about the location: 1) There isn't a ton of turnover and they make the effort to get to know their regulars. 2) The layout is crowd-friendly and easy to understand. I've always been able to find a seat and it's clean. 3) It's close to my house. I mean, that's not a benefit to YOU, but it's the main reason I keep going back.

I really enjoyed all of the food I had here. I got the Don Quixote salad with the recommended ginger dressing and their Hearty Vegetable soup. Both very good. I wish they had these in Salt Lake City. Also, the service was very good, as well. One of the workers helped me carry my items to a table since they don't have trays. I appreciated that. :)

These guys cater for us a lot and it's by far my favorite. I went into the store for the first time ever this week and was very impressed. They have a great selection of fresh salads. I went for the Don Quixote wrap. It was extremely tasty. My colleague told me to tell them to go easy on dressing, however the server offered me light, med, or heavy so I think they have this remedied now! Love it, and will be back.

Mad Greens is amazing! You can build your own salad (careful price is per item so can get expensive) or one of their menu salads. They are all great! This Celiac Chick loves to eat here because they clearly label what proteins are gluten free, GF, and they have gluten free / dairy free soups too! They are fast and the food is always really fresh. They have outdoor seating to which is great when it is nice out. For those that don't need GF they have panini sandwich choices that my hubby and friends like.

I am not a salad fan but when it comes to Mad Greens, count me in! The different varieties are good but a bit higher priced but you get a good portion. I normally get the edgar allen poe or cobb salad ,so delicious!

  • Charles J.

I was glad to find a salad place upon arriving in Denver. What I didn't expect was to find a salad place that served a salad the size of the you pick two salad from Panera. The salad was impressively delicious, and the staff was very friendly, but for $9 I should have walked away feeling a little more satiated than I did. All in all, great salads, but for the tiny portions, they are not worth the price.

    (3)
  • Sara C.

This place was really good. The price is reasonable unlike the place I went to yesterday Choppers Custom Salad where they were super expensive. If you were to add meat at this place though it could cost a lot more. Each additional meat is $2.35 for regular and $3.35 for large. I got the Ty Cobb salad that was slightly pricier than the regular salads by about $0.50 but it's worth it since I didn't have to add meat. It has bacon and egg in the salad so that was enough protein for me. I also ordered a Chicken Tortilla Soup that was delicious! I love the cup of soup portion and the salad like Tiffany N. described was a lot. I had to force myself to eat the last 1/3 because I knew if I didn't I'd be hungry half way through the rest of my day. The place was clean and small. A lot of people ordered to go, probably back to their office and eat it there. The sign for the soups of the day weren't changed out because it still reads "Bacon Potato" from the previous day. I love how they always have 2 soup options daily, one for vegetarians, one for carnivores. One thing I couldn't find is a list of their dressings... maybe I wasn't looking hard enough but it was not posted on their menu.. I wish there was that list at a more visible location in their store. But all I did was ask and they were very friendly. The pieces were nice bite sizes and the ingredients tasted fresh. I love how their employees would warn you about build your own salad. The one girl told the next customer to be careful what they select because each additional item is 60 cents to a dollar more and they don't want her to be surprised at the end. :) Great job Mad Greens! I'm all about supporting local businesses and you're doing a terrific job taking care of your customers with a sense of urgency!

  • Lily S.

Maybe I'm biased? But this Mad Greens isn't as good as the one by the Federal Center. The Crazy Ivan wrap I had with grilled portobello mushroom was kind of salty. Oh and they have bagged "veggie chips" now, don't get those, simply not good.

I'm a fan of Mad Greens and I won't repeat what other reviewers have commented on. This is a nice location and the service is great.

Hate to write this review since I love this place but beware! My friend and I ate here last night and we both got food poisoning. Not sure if it's because we went right before closing but we both are experiencing horrible symptoms today. Needless to say I will never be eating here again.

Everyone is great and friendly and they are quick and thorough. I changed jobs so won't frequent this spot as often, but still live in the area and will pop in now and then. Great neighborhood healthy salad place!

Sometimes I get a really crazy craving for a Mad Greens salad at lunchtime and luckily, this place is nice and close to work. Quick, friendly service too! My favorite is the Don Quixote with tofu. It comes with some of my favorite things EVER which are mangos and avocados....as well as jack cheese and corn. Their tofu is salty and perfect offset for the sweeter ingredients. Creamy ginger dressing and BAM. Salad perfection. I do have a beef with the prices though. A small runs me $8 and large $10. I think it's the tofu that sends it over the top. I love my salad and all, but it makes me think twice before I head over and dish out $8-10...tofu is dirt cheap in the grocery store and should really be closer to a dollar to add.

    (3)
  • Shannon T.

I just can't get over how ungodly expensive this place is! I got a panini with JUST roast beef that came with a small bowl of soup. $10! For a sandwich with meat and soup! It wasn't amazing, just a sandwich. I was definitely shocked.

  • Nicholas N.

I only recently became a big salad fan as my friends know ("no lechuga for Nick"), but I now really like Mad Greens. They not only allow you to have any salad your heart could imagine, but you can pair it with a sweet cuban pork panini (or one of many others) and make a seriously large meal out of it and at the end you feel full and healthy. I had this salad called the Don Quixote and it was ridiculously good. It had gigantic chunks of Mango and Avocado in it and they went just perfect with the dressing I had on it (the name of which elludes me at the moment). The lettuce was fresh and crisp and they also have thiss new mango juice that was not too sweet and tasted out of this world. If you like crazy salads, you'd be MAD not to go there.

  • Emily J.

Being a student I love places that are healthy, fast, and affordable. Mad Greens is all this and more. Different than your usual humdrum salad bar, Mad Greens offers plenty of delicious combinations and the employees are always upbeat and personable. I like seeing where my food comes from, and their open atmosphere enables you to watch your meal be prepared. I would definitely recommend this place for a casual lunch, a great place to pick up food for a picnic or on the go meal, and a fun place to get together with your classmates or fellow employees. I love the Edgar Allen Poe, it's a lovely and fresh combination that I never get bored of.

  • Lori D.

Just ate lunch there while on a business trip. Very clean..nice people..fast service even though there was a line...very average to say the least..I had the greens, apple, walnut salad..and had them add beets..which were canned..really? The dressing was port wine and left an after taste...the soups looked good..but i think I'll skip it and find the local Whole Foods...I paid 8.35 for the regular salad and an iced tea..the beets were 60 cents more..I would have paid a dollar more if they were fresh..alo ..can't tell if the greens were organic as I did not notice a sign that said if they were..

  • Amber P.

Recommendations: Salad: "Edgar Allan Poe" add Steak Panini: "Marilyn Monroe" (sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese, and pesto together = brilliant!)

    (4)
  • Terry B.

This place is alright, but I much prefer Four Leaf on Arapahoe. The lines aren't as long, the salad selections are better and more interesting, and the salads are just overall better IMO. I do like the fact that they offer soups and paninis here, but for a good salad, I'll head up to Four Leaf. I've actually been here a couple of times and the soups are good. The atmostpher is better than Four Leaf with a nice outdoor patio section for the plentiful good weather days in CO. Prices are competitive, but they don't have enough specialty salad options with protein other than eggs and bits of bacon. You can of course add on chicken, tuna, salmon, or steak for a charge. They also ask you how much dressing you want, but I haven't the slightest idea how much I want based on your big mixing bowl filled up with my ingredients. Turns out I said whoa too soon, but that's on me.

  • Leslie H.

Big portions and good variety of salads and sandwiches to choose from. Diners can also make their own salad choosing from any of the 20 or so ingredients. It's cheap and reasonably healthy though check the calories, sugar and sodium content before ordering. Fast and friendly service at an affordable cost. Great for a quick bite for the business crowd or on the weekends (at any of their locations around the Denver metro area).
